Dr Jeremy Steinberg is the owner and lead editor of WikiMSK. WikiMSK is hosted on servers donated by Ellerslie Medical Centre, Auckland, New Zealand. Dr Steinberg can be contacted here. The content is produced in partnership with the New Zealand Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine. The content is distributed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike unless otherwise noted.

Account registration requires being a member of the New Zealand Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine. This is done by manual checks by the lead editor. The user pages are not required to outline publicly the identity of these users.

Medical Advisory Statement

WikiMSK is an online open-content collaborative Musculoskeletal Medicine information website, designed for medical practitioners in New Zealand. It is a voluntary association of individuals and groups who are developing a common resource of human musculoskeletal knowledge. The structure of WikiMSK allows any NZAMM member with an Internet connection to alter its content. Content may be original or be information from other sources. Please be advised that nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by Musculoskeletal Medicine fellows with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information. Direct publication of patient information is not allowed. Unidentifiable imaging, such an unlabelled xray, is allowed if it can not reasonably be able to be linked back to a certain person. Case histories are allowed but all identifiable information must be removed as is expected of any medical publication. If in doubt do not publish the information.

Peer Review Statement

Content may be published in an unfinished form., and this is encouraged. Articles have an indicator on the top right as to the level of completeness. The aim is for articles to be peer reviewed by a Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellow, and these articles are indicated as complete with a green circle, and the date of review. These articles may still be changed, but readers can refer back to the older version that was reviewed.
