Posterior Interosseous Nerve
Synonym Dorsal interosseous nerve
Nerve Type Motor nerve
Origin Continuation of the deep branch of the radial nerve after it spirals around the radial head and penetrates the supinator muscle, carrying C7 and C8 fibres.
Course It runs under the arcade of Frosche
Motor innervation Extensor muscles of the forearm, sensory fibres to the dorsal aspect of the carpus.
