Apophysitis and Osteochondrosis

Apophysitis is a traction injury to the site of tendon attachment on cartilage. Osteochondrosis is a degenerative condition that affects the epiphyseal ossification centres of growing bone due to a temporary disruption of the blood supply at the bone-cartilage complex and not by traction injury.
Epidemiology
Apophysitis is more common than osteochondrosis.
