Bupropion
From WikiMSK
This article is a stub.
If combining bupropion with an SSRI, choose citalopram or escitalopram for the SSRI. This is because other SSRIs block CYP2B6. This enzyme metabolises bupropion into its active metabolite hydroxybupropion, and hence blocking it theoretically affects the noradrenergic potential of bupropion. Combining bupropion with a -pram SSRI can therefore result in increasing serotonin, dopamine, plus noradrenaline.[1]
