Thoracodorsal Nerve
Nerve Type	Motor nerve
Origin	Posterior cord of the brachial plexus with fibers typically from C6–C8.
Course	Descends along the posterior wall of the axilla with the thoracodorsal artery on the deep surface of subscapularis and enters latissimus dorsi at the posterior axillary fold.
Major Branches	Multiple intramuscular branches within latissimus dorsi, often accompanying segmental branches of the thoracodorsal artery.
Sensory innervation	No cutaneous field; provides proprioceptive afferents from latissimus dorsi.
Motor innervation	Latissimus Dorsi
