Origin Upper 2/3 dorsal surfaces of lateral border of scapula
Insertion Lowest facet of greater tubercle of humerus and shoulder joint capsule
Action Externally rotates shoudler joint, stabilises head of humerus in glenoid cavity during should movement.

Teres Minor (? plus some Infraspinatus)

Patient: Supine

Fixation: Counterpressure applied against medial aspect of distal humerus, to ensure rotation.

Test: External rotation of humerus. The elbow is at 90 degrees

Pressure: Use the forearm as a lever to apply internal rotation force
